Description
An openworked display defines Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15467OR.OO.1256OR.01 Double Balance Wheel Openworked Rose Gold (2018), a skeletonized watch combining a 37mm rose gold case, an openworked dial, and an automatic movement.
Introduced in 2016 in 41mm and subsequently in 37mm with frosted or gem-set executions, the model arrived in 2024 in the classic brushed-and-polished gold finish in this smaller size for the first time, giving collectors a more traditional finishing pairing with the patented caliber that had previously been reserved for the larger or jeweled variants. The 37mm case in 18-karat rose gold measures 10mm thick, satin-brushed with polished bevels and the signature octagonal bezel.
The openworked rhodium-toned dial reveals the movement's architecture beneath rose gold applied hour markers and luminescent Royal Oak hands, with the patented double balance mechanism visible at eight o'clock.
The self-winding in-house Caliber 3132, comprising 245 components and 38 jewels, delivers a 45-hour power reserve and is visible through the sapphire caseback. An integrated rose gold Royal Oak bracelet with AP folding clasp completes the watch. This timepiece has an old-style box.
The double balance system — two mirrored balance wheels and hairsprings stacked on a single axis — enhances stability and precision by averaging out the oscillations of both regulators.
