Description
A chronograph defines Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore 26400SO.OO.A054CA.01 Self-winding Chronograph Champagne Dial (2018); its construction brings together a 44mm stainless steel case, a champagne/ beige dial, and an automatic movement.
Released in 2018, the 26400SO marked a bold and initially controversial moment in Royal Oak Offshore history — the first 44mm Offshore to embrace the camouflage aesthetic. Nicknamed the "Combat" by the watchmaking community for its military-inspired colorway, the reference paired a champagne-colored "Méga Tapisserie" dial with a distinctive green ceramic bezel and matching camouflage rubber strap, a combination that polarized collectors at launch but quickly developed a devoted following. The 44mm case in stainless steel measures 14.4mm thick, framed by a green ceramic bezel secured with eight white gold hexagonal screws and matching green ceramic screw-locked crown and pushers.
The in-house automatic Caliber 3126/3840 — wound by a 22-karat gold rotor — delivers a 50-hour power reserve, completed by a green camouflage rubber strap with stainless steel buckle.
The beige "Méga Tapisserie" dial is arranged with three recessed black chronograph subdials at twelve, nine, and six, orange chronograph accents, white gold applied baton markers with luminescent coating, and a date aperture at three.
Now discontinued, the 26400SO has earned recognition as the pioneering piece that opened an entire camouflage chapter in the Offshore line, leading to the more refined limited-edition trio that followed in 2019.
Dated 2018, this example is offered in like new & unworn condition with its original box and original papers.
