Description
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Secret Hours 4154 21 is a 30mm yellow-gold presentation watch created for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Its defining construction conceals the time display beneath a hinged coin cover, bringing together Swiss watchmaking, jewellery craft, and Saudi royal symbolism in a single commission.
An authentic Saudi Arabian gold coin forms the exterior lid. The coin carries the royal seal and Arabic calligraphic inscriptions in relief, while fine rope engraving around its edge echoes the texture of the bracelet. Lifting the cover reveals the dial and transforms the piece from a coin-fronted jewel into a functional wristwatch.
Beneath the lid is a malachite Secret Hours dial, distinguished by the stone’s natural parallel banding and deep green tonal variation. Gold baton hour markers and matching gold hands provide a restrained display that allows the mineral surface to remain the visual focus.
A manual-winding Swiss movement powers the watch. The case is integrated with a yellow-gold herringbone-weave bracelet secured by a fold-over clasp, extending the rope-like visual language of the coin cover across the wrist.
This example is described in pre-owned, very good condition and is offered without its original box or original papers.
