Description
Built around a perpetual calendar, Patek Philippe Cubitus 5840P-001 Perpetual Calendar Moon Phases Platinum Blue Openworked Dial (2026) combines a 45mm platinum case, a sunburst blue openworked with a horizontal line pattern dial, and an automatic movement.
This structural dialogue between dial and movement is the design's defining achievement — the skeleton treatment is not decorative overlay but a genuine window into a movement engineered to be observed through the dial plane. The sunburst blue openworked dial is arranged with horizontally laser-cut strips revealing the square skeletonized movement, with white gold applied baton hour markers, white gold rounded baton hands, snailed subsidiary counters for day, date, month and 24-hour indication by hands, and a high-definition metallized laser-engraved moon phase.
The square-form caliber 28-28 Q SQU was engineered specifically for the Cubitus case architecture, its 28.5×28.5mm footprint matching the geometry of the openworked dial above it, so that the horizontal laser-cut strips of the blue sunburst dial align visually with the exposed bridges and mainplate beneath. The 45mm diagonal platinum case carries contrasting polished and satin surfaces, a screw-down crown, and a baguette-cut diamond at six o'clock.
The baguette-cut diamond at six o'clock and the rhodium-plated micro-rotor engraved with matching horizontal lines and a blue Calatrava cross confirm the depth of finishing investment.
A navy blue composite fabric strap with cream stitching and platinum fold-over clasp completes the reference.
Dated 2026, this example is offered in new condition with its original box and original papers.
