Description
A perpetual calendar defines Patek Philippe Grand Complications 5140G-001 Perpetual Calendar White Gold Silver Opaline Dial; its construction brings together a white gold case, a silver opaline dial, and an automatic movement.
The case executed in 18-karat white gold is configured with polished surfaces with curved downturned lugs, rounded stepped bezel, pull-push winding crown engraved with Calatrava cross, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and choice of exhibition sapphire caseback or solid white gold caseback both included. The case measures 36mm by 37.2mm.
The silver opaline dial displays applied polished white gold baton hour markers, white gold dauphine hands, printed minute track with white gold dots around outer rim, three recessed subsidiary dials with black Arabic numerals and white gold indicator hands showing day of week and 24-hour register at 9 o'clock, month and leap year indicators at 3 o'clock, date and moonphase displays at 6 o'clock featuring realistic moon against blue celestial background.
Inside beats the self-winding Caliber 240 Q manufactured entirely in-house featuring ultra-thin construction at profile, off-center mini-rotor in 22-karat gold, perpetual calendar mechanism with mechanical memory spanning four years automatically accounting for months with 31 and 30 days plus February 29 leap years requiring no correction until year 2100, 27 jewels, 275 components, frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, approximately a 48-hour power reserve.
Black alligator leather strap with 18-karat white gold deployant clasp, four recessed push-piece correctors in case sides for calendar adjustment using included Patek Philippe stylus.
Discontinued from the collection after a decade of production making way for reference 5327, the 5140G has transitioned into modern vintage status. This model is discontinued. The watch is offered with its original box and original papers.
