Description
Richard Mille RM 011 Felipe Massa Flyback Chronograph Titanium (2014) integrates a flyback chronograph into a titanium case, paired with a skeleton dial and driven by an automatic movement.
The skeletonized dial reveals the automatic Caliber RMAC1 with flyback chronograph, 60-minute countdown at nine, small seconds at three, 12-hour totalizer at six, oversized date at twelve, and month aperture at four-thirty.
Launched in 2007 as the manufacture's first flyback chronograph, it was developed in collaboration with Ferrari Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa and became the commercial bedrock that established Richard Mille as a force in modern haute horology. The tripartite tonneau case 50 x 40 x entirely in microblasted grade-5 titanium, secured by twenty grade-5 titanium spline screws.
Built entirely on a grade-5 titanium baseplate with variable-geometry rotor, the movement delivers 50 hours of reserve and required 202 separate machining operations to produce the case, completed by a light grey rubber strap with titanium deployant clasp. This timepiece is on a light grey rubber strap.
Production continued for a decade before the RM 011 was succeeded by the RM 11-03 in 2017, making the original Felipe Massa references increasingly difficult to source on the secondary market. The full titanium execution remains the most foundational expression of the line, where grade-5 titanium throughout reinforces the brand's motorsport-inspired engineering language at its purest.
This 2014 example is presented in pre-owned (very good) condition and accompanied by its original box and original papers.
